Bruce’s passion for getting children excited about reading and writing has motivated him to visit more than 650 schools and more than 50 library/literacy/reading conferences. Recently, he became an organizer and host of the Poetry Olio, a national showcase for children’s poetry which is held once a year at the annual International Literacy Association Conference.

He frequently visits schools in the upper-Midwestern states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota. He often visits the New York Metro area, Colorado, Arizona, Georgia, Arizona and Florida. Truth is, Bruce enjoys meeting teachers and students who enjoy “playing with content,” wherever they may live.
